When I give to Palms . . . where does my money go?
Tithes and offerings go to support the basic cost of running a church ministry – AWANA, VBS, Sunday school, and much more.
Of course, there are also very practical things the tithes support, like lights, building, and staff. We only have one full time staff member (pastor). Other paid staff work on a very limited part time salary or volunteer their time. One area where we have invested financially is our church nursery. We use paid workers to give consistency to our nursery schedule. It is important a church staff around its congregation’s needs. Thus a church with a lot of youth, hires a youth minister; or with a lot of senior’s, hires a seniors minister. We see the best place to use the Lord’s provisions is in our nursery, as we are primarily a church of young families with young children!
What you give not only supports the work and ministry at Palms, but we also give back to missions. By working with the Cooperative Program, we support over 10,000 missionaries in 153 countries. We believe in missions! Our missions giving includes:
- The cooperative Program.
- World Missions. Palms not only supports Cooperative program missions, but directly supports the International Mission Board.
- Local missions
- Mission House. Food and clothes ministry.
- Hunger relief.
- Golden Gate Seminary scholarship.
- Inland Empire Association of Churches. Which helps start new churches and ministers to existing churches in our region of California.
